"Water Middle East"
International experts have predicted that there would be a
global water shortage by 2010, especially in the Middle East
region.
As a result, there is a need for more sophisticated water technologies
for effective water resources management. To address these problems,
an exhibition and conference named "Water Middle East",
was held in Bahrain from 6 to 8 October, 2003.
The event was fully supported by the Ministry of Water & Electricity
and Ministry of Commerce & Industry in Bahrain, and many
international organizations. Agents, factory representatives,
engineers and
experts from the water industry, government officials, research
scientists, as well as technical consultants attended the event.
This 3-day exhibition and conference provided
the first comprehensive overview of the latest technologies and
newest developments in the Middle East and found solutions for
more effective water resources management in the region.
